The Gun London
A new-build bar and hospitality destination designed to feel intrinsically connected to its East London setting. Located on the site of a former 18th-century alehouse within Spitalfields’ historic artillery quarter, the project sought to balance heritage, atmosphere and contemporary relevance to create a space with a strong sense of place and identity.

The concept drew on the site’s industrial and social history, reinterpreting it through a contemporary hospitality lens.

our response
We developed a proposition shaped by the contrasting character of its location - positioned between the financial district of the City and the creative energy of East London.

authentic interiors
Rather than relying on overt military references, the design language took inspiration from the precision, engineering and utilitarian beauty of the firearms once produced in the area.
Honest materials, exposed structure and robust detailing created a space with depth and authenticity, balanced by a warm and inviting atmosphere designed to encourage people to gather, linger and connect.

MAKING AN IMPACT
At the centre of the venue sits a dramatic triple-height beer cathedral, featuring a 100-keg back bar spanning three floors and topped with a suspended DJ gantry. Bespoke brass and glass panels throughout the interior were physically marked by our team using fired bullets - creating a subtle but memorable layer of storytelling embedded directly into the fabric of the space.
The result is a bold, atmospheric venue that feels both rooted in the history of Spitalfields and reflective of modern East London.
