By bringing together experience strategy, interior design and operational thinking from the outset, we created a destination restaurant where concept, service and setting are seamlessly aligned

our response
Working closely with the team, we led a series of workshops to explore the opportunities and operational requirements of the site, helping shape a concept that responded to both the unique setting and the ambitions of the business. From guest experience and spatial planning through to kitchen design, materials, furnishings and detailing, every element was considered as part of a joined-up vision.
Drawing inspiration from the building's history as an observatory, the design celebrates light, sky and perspective

framing the experience
The interior design was developed alongside the wider brand experience, creating a seamless relationship between the food, service and setting.
Drawing inspiration from the building's history as an observatory, the design celebrates light, sky and perspective, with bespoke lighting features and carefully framed views connecting guests to both the Edinburgh skyline and the landscape beyond.

rooted in place
The result is a distinctive destination restaurant that combines The Gardener's Cottage's renowned hospitality with an iconic setting designed to elevate every aspect of the guest experience.
